Charlie Magri was recently quoted in a Bloomberg article examining INTERPOL’s internal review systems and the procedures used to assess Red Notices. The piece explores how oversight mechanisms operate within the organization, with a focus on the role of the Commission for the Control of INTERPOL’s Files (CCF).

Drawing from his experience as a former legal officer at the CCF, Charlie shared a key statistic to help contextualize the scale of the Commission’s caseload:

“Between 2017 and 2022, approximately 70% of the Red Notices reviewed by the CCF were found to be non-compliant,” said Charlie Magri.

This contribution was made as part of a broader discussion on the importance of oversight and the procedural checks that support INTERPOL’s mission.
