Charlie Magri — INTERPOL Lawyer & Former CCF Legal Officer
Charlie Magri is a French lawyer admitted to the Marseille Bar, with extensive experience in the application of INTERPOL’s rules and international police cooperation. Before founding Otherside, he worked for six years as a Legal Officer at the Secretariat to the Commission for the Control of INTERPOL’s Files (CCF) — the independent body responsible for reviewing requests concerning data recorded in INTERPOL’s files.
His practice combines first-hand institutional experience with a detailed understanding of INTERPOL’s framework and case law. As an INTERPOL lawyer, Charlie Magri advises and represents clients before the CCF in cases involving Red Notice removal, data access, and deletion requests.
From CCF Legal Officer to INTERPOL Lawyer
From 2017 to 2023, Charlie Magri served as a Legal Officer at the Secretariat to the Commission for the Control of INTERPOL’s Files (CCF). Within the CCF, he handled, among other matters, requests for deletion of personal data from INTERPOL’s systems. His work involved a detailed examination of each request and the drafting and presentation of legal analyses to the Commission, which relied on these materials in its deliberations and decisions.
This experience provided unique insight into INTERPOL’s internal procedures and the interpretation of its rules, forming the foundation of his expertise in challenging Red Notices and diffusions. His familiarity with the CCF’s jurisprudence and working methods enables him to represent clients with precision and procedural accuracy before the Commission.
